World Economic Forum - November 12-13, 2017. Khaliya traveled to Dubai to participate in the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils where she will explore ways of facilitating systemic change in areas such as health, energy and infrastructure through breakthrough technologies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Web Summit - November 6-9, 2017. Khaliya traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to speak at Web Summit, “where the tech industry's A List gather," according to CNBC. Twenty two conferences connecting every industry, it defines the ecosystem. Forbes calls it "the best technology conference on the planet." Speakers include Elon Musk, Al Gore, Bono, and Arianna Huffington. On Facebook alone, over 10 million people watched live in 2016, WebSummit is where the future goes to be born.

1st International Forum on Women's Brains and Mental Health - December 12th, 2017. Khaliya traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland as Keynote Speaker on special invitation by The Women’s Brain Project (WBP), an international non-profit organization advocating for women's brain and mental health. Speakers include Dr. Suzana Petanceska, Program Director - Systems Biology & Systems Pharmacology, National Institute on Aging and Dr. Hadine Joffe, Director of Psycho-Oncology Research at Harvard Medical School. Forum goals are to identify the specific needs related to women’s mental health, to advocate for focused research and precision medicine and technology, to address sex and gender specific phenomena, and to position the findings for the benefit of the society.


Recent Awards, Councils, and Presentations

Jury Selection Committee Convening for the 2018 Middelthon-Candler Millennium Gate Prizes - Khaliya was part of the jury that convened on the island of Zealand, Denmark at Ledreborg Castle at the end of June 2017 to select next year's Middelthon-Candler winners for the Peace, Justice and Millennium Gate Prizes. Khaliya is the 2016 recipient of the National Monuments Foundation Middelthon-Candler Peace Prize.

World Economic Forum Family Business Community Retreat - In June 2017 in Gstaad, Switzerland, Khaliya participated in this forum dedicated to "Growing a Legacy for Business and Society" by focusing on the global forces shaping the future of business and society, how the fourth industrial revolution is transforming the world, and responsible ownership. 

Katapult Future Fest - Khaliya spoke about how "Brain Health Matters" on May 12th at this conference focused on the impact of exponential technologies in our future society.

Solve at MIT - May 8-10, 2017 Khaliya participated in Solve's annual flagship event at MIT. Solve brings private, public, not-profit and academic leaders together to solve the world's challenges.

Right Now Vatican Challenge - Khaliya returned to Rome May 3-5, 2017 to participate in this conference that focuses on the relevance of Laudato Si to the impact community and those pioneering it.

TED2017 Vancouver - Khaliya and Thomas Ermacora convened a Falkora Roundtable dinner at at the TED2017 Conference in Vancouver in April.

J. Luce Foundation - On April 13th, 2017, Khaliya received the Inaugural Claire Booth Luce Award for International Service at the National Arts Club alongside her husband, Thomas Ermacora, who received the Humanitarian of the Year Award. 

WIRED Health - On March 9th, 2017 in London, Khaliya spoke about the need for further dialogue and research into the benefits of psychedelic science for treating mental health problems. Click here to watch her talk.

Near Future Summit - In March 2017 in La Jolla, CA, Khaliya served as the Coordinator for The Changing Brain Capsule.
